Why I enjoy lecturing....

One of the reason's I started lecturing was.... Because I wanted to help people learn.   I want to make it easy for my students to learn by breaking down the theory and using examples which people can relate to.  I really enjoy Marketing, and have done since I understood what marketing was really about.  I want to help my students enjoy the creativity of marketing as well as have the theory to underpin their decisions.

Camera's On!

  Reason's for students to put camera's on: One of the first things I have noticed is that students are camera shy.  However, in a learning environment there are elements which are required in order to ensure deliver and understanding of a subject are guaranteed.   Here are some reasons for putting on cameras: Face to face communication Able to ensure students are listening and attentive Read body language Encourages student engagement Build friendships and rapport Attendance Although there are also reasons for not to do this: Privacy Zoom fatigue Obligations and responsibilities (work, children) Internet is faster without camera on I can see several arguments in favour of requiring students to turn on their cameras. First, if students know they are being watched, they are more likely to stay in one place and pay attention. If cameras are off, students may "listen" to the class while moving around.
